No blog postings in quite a while as we have both been traveling in darkness on the long road of grief. It is never easy to suffer a loss, but even more so when multiple losses occur over a short time.
Kathy's mom lost the battle with Alzheimers and cancer on January 14, 2011. She was a wild and unique character and her memory is treasured. Kathy's dad visited us for 8days in February and has his ups and downs, but is doing okay. Grief is a path we must all travel at some point.
Life is never the same after the loss of a parent, as Jerri well knows. She lost her mom in July 2005 and most recently lost her dad November 16, 2010.
Sadness has been like a heavy hand over even the brightest of days, even here in sunny Florida. It is said that time heals all wounds....but how much time will it take and will the wounds heal?
Life goes on and the thing that keeps us going are the good memories and the strong belief in King Karma and his big boots! Thanks for the soapbox. Here's to happier times soon.
